Dear Readers,
This maiden issue of our newsletter seeks to celebrate women. It is refreshing to read one of ours; one that was borne out of our vision and hard work. This newsletter was birthed from concerted efforts to see the GSL SRC grow. Without a team of valiant soldiers like you, the newsletter could not have been unveiled on a special day like this-International Women’s Day. I am honored to be part of this initiative and I use this medium to thank all persons who contributed to making this vision possible. To my selfless editorial team, thank you!
Women, whatsoever you envision, you can achieve; not alone, but with a community of like-minded persons-be it male or female. Stay connected to that community to draw strength to evolve.
Greetings esteemed law students,All too soon, we are gradually approaching the end of the 2023/2024 Academic year, with Part II students looking forward to the 61st Call, while the Part I students await their transition to Part II. The Good Book tells us that “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within us, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” It’s always a privilege and an honor to address the student body through any available medium and I often use such an opportunity to highlight some work done by the SRC thus far, as well as keep the student body informed on relevant matters.
The Executive Council of the SRC of Ghana School of Law is elated to welcome its members to the New Year, 2024. It’s been 4(four) phenomenal months since the induction into office of the 61st Emefa-led administration. I am pleased to reflect on some of our collective achievements and accomplishments within this period. For the First time in the history of the Ghana School of Law, the SRC has successfully onboarded about 87% of its members onto an advanced law tech site, to help students access law cases, notes, and other relevant academic materials at no cost to students. The feedback we received from the general student body on this project have been very encouraging.
